PRESENT PERFECT
It
shows something that started in the past, but continues until now.
Has/have (not) + past participle
Examples:
They
have begun (begin) painting the living room.
We
have kept (keep) this secret for three years.
SIMPLE PAST
Use
the Simple Past to express the idea that an action started and finished at a
specific time in the past. Sometimes, the speaker may not actually
mention the specific time, but they do have one specific time in mind.
Examples: I saw a movie yesterday.
PAST PARTICILE
has/have/had + past participle
Examples:
The
books had fallen (fall) off the table and were all over the
floor.
